 Signs Your Saddle May Not Fit Properly

Does your horse demonstrate any of the following characteristics?
  • Unwilling to stand still when being mounted
  • Sensitive to being brushed along the back
  • Objects to being saddled or girthed
  • Muscle atrophy along the spine or withers
  • Sores or white hairs along the back
  • Temporary swellings after the saddle is removed
  • Unable to stride out
  • Stumbling or tripping regularly
  • Rushing at fences or refusing jumps
  • Difficulty traveling straight
  • Resists gait transitions
  • Bucks or rears frequently
  • Pins ears or swishes tail during riding
  • Unable to engage hind end
  • Resists rounding his back or neck
